Recent Commission

One of my most recent finished projects has been to paint two very lively schnauzer puppies.

They are 'Misty and Tiggy'.

I captured them on camera first, taking many photos of them. They were very lively, running around and also inquisitive as to what I was doing taking photos of them.

After dozens if not hundreds of photos I settled on a few compositions which captured their characters.

They both have different ear shapes and very different markings.

I suppose the art of painting a picture is all about looking and asking questions about shapes, shading and colouring.

Each painting I do is always differnt
